One Year Term - Starting Wednesday June 18, 2025

Positions Available:

  • President

  • Vice President of Administration

  • Vice President of Finance

  • Vice President of Activities

  • Vice President of Relations

  • Vice President of Organizations


Election Important Dates:

  • April 28-May 2: Petitions open

  • April 28-May 2: Attend at least one (1) info session

  • May 2: Deadline to meet the minimum qualifications for candidacy

  • May 3: Candidate Statements Due

  • May 6: Meet the Candidates (12:30 - 1:30 PM)

  • May 5-9: Campaigning Period

  • May 12-17: Voting Period (via GCC student email)

  • May 19: 9:00am Results posted

GENERAL INFOrmation

The Executive Committee alongside our ASGCC Advisors works together to appoint 20 Senators to the five committees of the organization through an interview process held in the Winter and Summer intersessions.

Qualifications for Candidacy

1) A member of the Associated Students (all student who have paid their student service fee for Spring 2025)

2) Registered in at least six (6) units

3) Have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0

4) The GPA qualification of first semester GCC students shall be determined by the Elections Committee on a individual basis

5) Has not held the same Vice President office for more than one (1) complete two (2) semester terms (Fall and Spring of the same academic year)

6) Submits a statement of eligibility to the Office of Student Affairs by the deadline for petitioning, as specified in the Election Code

Qualifications for office

3) Must have completed the previous regular semester with a grade point average (GPA) of at least a 2.0

4) Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0

5) Has not held the same Vice President office for more than one (1) complete two (2) semester terms (Fall and Spring of the same academic year)

6) Successful completion of ASGCC Leadership Academy
