President/Student Trustee
Nathan Andriassian
Hello, my name is Nathan Andriassian, and I’m running to be your ASGCC President and Student Trustee. This role requires a candidate who is dedicated, passionate, and driven to work for their community, and I am that candidate. Currently, I am a senator of finance, where I have taken part in approving funds for clubs, and reworking the terms of student scholarships. I also represented our school at California’s Student Senate, where I promoted GCC’s needs at the state level. As an advocate for student representation, I will use my role, as well as my voice, to not only lead, but serve. I will be a voice for all members of our school, and ensure all students are given the benefits that they deserve. GCC needs a leader who will take action to serve the community, and I will be that leader for you. There’s no debate, vote for Nate!
Ryan Avakian
My name is Ryan Avakian, and I am running for President of ASGCC. I'm a first-year biology major and have served as an ASGCC senator for two semesters. I'm running not for myself, but I aspire to be the president for students from all backgrounds. I've seen countless students facing financial issues, student parents struggle with time management, or even drop classes due to accumulated stress. I want to be someone who not only relieves people of their problems, but also has the power to prevent such things from recurring. If you have any problems, please come to me and discuss them; I will advocate for what you believe is unjust until we succeed and alleviate the issues faced by students with similar concerns. To every community and minority that feels underrepresented, I will not stop trying until you feel heard, seen, and welcome at GCC. Thank you.
Matthew Bakalinsky
Hello, my name is Matthew Bakalinsky and as a student of GCC for the past five years, I have had the pleasure of interacting with some of the nicest people. The students of GCC foster a sense of community, where learning is fundamental and supporting one another comes organically. And while the community of GCC thrives academically and socially, I think we can do better. As someone with experience in leadership positions, I have what it takes to improve this already flourishing community. If elected, I will do all that I can to make GCC an academic utopia, by engaging in solution-minded discussion with the outer GCC, creating a school yearbook to preserve our fond memories of this school, and partnering with the Student Success Center to organize an outreach program. If you agree with my vision for GCC please check the box next to my name. Thank you!
Vice President of Administration
Eric Tsaturyan
I am committed to being a strong representative for all students at Glendale Community College. As Vice President of Administration, I want to work towards bettering the student experience so that it is not only more efficient, but effective and empowering. I will do my best to communicate with both students and faculty to bring needs and concerns to the forefront so that they can be solved quickly and thoughtfully. My goal is to strengthen communication, enhance transparency, and advocate for initiatives that improve student life. I am dedicated to making sure every student voice is heard and valued, to build a responsive environment where your voice leads the way. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected campus community.
Vice President of Finance
Sayat Teker
Money talks, and it should reflect what you care about. Hey everyone, I’m Sayat Teker, and I’m running to be your next ASGCC Vice President of Finance! I believe our budget should support the ideas, events, and resources that matter most to students. As an ASGCC Senator of Organizations, I have worked closely with clubs and seen firsthand how strong funding can bring student events to life and strengthen our campus community. Through my experience as a Student Ambassador at the Vaquero Success Center and as an UPLIFT Mentor, I have worked directly with students, listened to their needs, and pushed for better resources, even traveling to Sacramento to advocate for community college students. If elected, I will make sure our money goes toward building the campus life you want to see. Let’s invest in the future you believe in. I’d be honored to earn your vote!
Vice President of Activities
Mane Asilbekyan
Hello everyone! My name is Mane Aslibekyan and I am excited to be running as your vice president of activities. As a current senator of ASGCC, I have the utmost knowledge and experience to understand how our student government operates and with effective planning, I can bring student ideas to life. I will ensure that each student on our campus will connect with one another through engaging and fun activities, while creating lasting memories. Through our events, I will foster the spirit of our students and be the representative of your voices, while creating a true sense of community and trust. My mission is to prioritize all student groups on campus through recognition and to make sure that everyone feels welcomed and heard. I am your voice that will listen to you and take action for you. Let us as a community make student life more spirited than ever! Together, we can generate a campus that thrives from student driven energy and unity. Together we can and together we will. Your voices matter!
Arevik Grigoryan
Hi Vaqueros!
I’m Arevik Grigoryan, and I’m running for the Activities Committee because I genuinely care about building a strong, welcoming community at GCC. As Co-President of the GCC chapter of the non-profit Hidden Road Initiative, I’ve led fundraisers, planned events, and brought students together to support rural Armenian villages. Through this, I’ve strengthened my communication and leadership skills. I’m passionate about creating meaningful and fun activities that leave lasting memories and real connections. I bring energy, creativity, and dedication to everything I do — and I’d love the chance to help make our campus feel like a family.
Vote for me if you want someone who listens, includes everyone, and works hard to make every event unforgettable.
For events that speak — vote Arevik!
Vice President of Relations
David Zakaryan
As a student passionate about community and connections, I am excited to run for Vice President of Relations. I have strong experience in communications, managing my high school’s basketball Instagram page during my senior year, and currently working at the GCC Department of Communications as a student worker. Through these roles, I have developed skills in social media management, outreach, marketing, and more. If elected, I will work hard to strengthen the connection between ASGCC and students, modernize ASGCC social media, and ensure that every student's voice is heard. Together, we can create a more connected community at GCC.
Vice President of Organizations
Emily Kasumyan
My name is Emily Kasumyan, and I am excited to run for Vice President of the Organizations Committee. In my second semester as a Senator of Organizations, I understand how our committee operates and what it takes to assist in every club’s success. I’m running to strengthen the connection between clubs and Associated Students for efficient event-planning, increase campus-wide visibility for organizations, and ensure equal access to funding so clubs can host events that reflect our student body’s diverse interests. If elected, my leadership and organizational skills will help me pursue goals like hosting collaborative events, providing planning support, and creating a Club Resource Center with templates, guides, and tools for growth. I will simplify the funding process through detailed workshops and launch leadership training for club officers. I’m committed to being a trusted leader who listens, takes action, and uplifts our student community. Orgs that win, vote EMILY in!
Masaki Sannomiya
Having communication with every single club and student more frequently to increase student satisfaction and school’s activity involvement is my biggest goal. As a president of the Japanese Culture Club, I’ve experienced how important, helpful and valuable it is to have an Organization Committee in the GCC. Those experiences while working on JCC and ASGCC makes me pleased to have a relationship with. In order to achieve my goal, I would not only aim to organize a club, but would also solve the problem on campus by hearing the student's needs. In my whole period in GCC, many people have been so kind and helpful to me whenever I got confused, worried or tired about challenges. That is why I would like to have an amazing opportunity to join part of the people who helped me by becoming VP of organization Committee. Thank you for your help and support.
