Aren Sepanian

As your voice, I aim to serve you with honor and dedication. My name is Aren Sepanian, and as your future President and Student Trustee, I will work tirelessly to create a campus environment where every student can thrive. As a current Senator of Administration, I have participated in multiple campus events and programs, on and off campus, proving my knowledge of student life and engagement. My vision for students is to create a dynamic, inclusive, and supportive campus environment for all. I am committed to ensuring that every student is heard, valued, and respected, and I will work nonstop to make that a reality. Whether it's advocating for better resources, organizing exciting and meaningful events, or building stronger connections between students, I will work towards a more fulfilling college experience. By voting for me, I feel highly honored to prioritize your needs and represent your voice.

Lilit yerkanyan

Hello, I'm Lilit Yerkanyan, and I'm excited to be running for your next ASGCC President. Over the past year, I've had the privilege of serving as a Senator of Activities, where I've organized events such as 'Build a Bouquet' and 'Winter Wonderland' to foster a sense of community at GCC. As a commuter school, it's vital to create opportunities for students to connect on campus, especially considering most students juggle other responsibilities as well. If elected, I'm dedicated to representing all student members. I pledge to expand campus activities, including initiatives to address the absence of a cafeteria by providing more options for free food and also creating a more welcoming atmosphere on campus. My goal is to create an environment where every student can thrive, ensuring their basic needs are met. I invite you to reach out to me, so together, we can strengthen the GCC community. Thank you!

Alejandro zamarripa

We know that in order to maintain our set goals and be a model student government there must be effective leadership, collaboration, and the value of every individual’s voice. As a student I have had the chance to dive into the importance of making sure that each voice is not only heard but valued and respected. It is now my esteemed privilege to be a part of the ASGCC and what I found here continues to exceed my expectations. I’m amazed by the quality of people that are united by our shared vision. However, interprofessionalism and interconnections are key in order to successfully run our government. I am a firm believer that I can be the bridge that connects student government to you. Ultimately leading to your best possible experience here, in Glendale Community College. As President I will serve you to the best of my being and nothing less.

Vice President of Administration

Charles Hall

Hey everyone! My name is Charles Hall, and I’m currently a senator in ASGCC! I deeply value all forms of collaboration—both among my peers and with existing faculty at GCC. A goal of mine is to create a more open and responsive AS, and if elected as Vice President of Administration, I pledge to amplify your needs as students and implement change accordingly. As I remain dedicated to GCC’s overall growth, I am equally dedicated to the immediate wants of the student body. As a result, I find myself most outspoken and passionate when it comes to the desires of my peers—and I encourage all students, both during and after my campaign, to approach me with any concerns that need addressing. I not only vow to make these concerns my top priority but to vouch for change until you are satisfied and fully accounted for!

Pacheco Matute

I am a very honest, respectful person and the best thing about me is that my goals for the college have been because I have been observing what the students need. I love working in a team, I am also very sociable, and I always love to learn from everyone. Additionally, my specialty is political science, and that has given me the ability to advocate.
- Having conversations with politicians in the area to show them that they continue to support the Bills who serve at the college.
- Educational events
- Be much closer to the need that exists within the college to talk to the student government and carry it out as best as possible.
- To advocate for more tutors, since I have seen that many students have complained about the lack of tutors

Vice President of Finance

Chris Babayan

My goal is to bring my experience of solving quantitative problems to managing the finances of ASGCC. I have built the ability to make quantitative decisions through my years of experience in physics and math classes. These finances support our school's clubs, athletics, and provide funding to improve your on-campus college experience. Due to their impact on campus, I believe it is crucial to properly allocate resources based on objective data. I am well-immersed in the Vaquero experience as I am a supplemental instructor for physics, involved in athletics, and participate in clubs on campus. Thus, my wide involvement on campus will grant me the proper perspective to mold stances on campus issues.

Claris Boghosian

Choose financial stability; support your success. My name is Claris Boghosian, and I am currently a Finance Senator at GCC. I aspire to be your next Vice President of Finance because I will ensure that your financial concerns are heard and that your student organization's budgets are managed effectively. As a student myself, I understand the challenges of managing finances while pursuing a higher education. I provide a unique perspective due to my experience of running my own business and managing finances. That is why I have dedicated my time and energy to serving as a Finance Senator. I will be your voice, and together we can build a stronger, more financially stable campus. I am confident that I can continue to make a positive impact on our campus community by serving as your next Vice President of Finance.

Vice President of Relations

isabelle Karayan

My name is Isabelle Karayan and I am running for ASGCC VP of Relations. As a dedicated and assertive Senator of Organizations, I have planned and carried out a wide range of exciting events and promoted the interests of our clubs, addressing and providing solutions to enhance the club experience for members and officers alike. As Secretary of ASB in high school, I have a deep understanding of how the various roles in the executive committee support, enhance, and create the best campus environment for all students. I have the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and administration alike, making sure all voices on campus are heard and attended to. As VP of Relations, I will create strong connections among students and create an inclusive environment for all. I will listen and every student will have a voice.

Vice President of Organizations

Josephine Alvandi

My name is Josephine Alvandi, and I am delighted to declare my candidacy for the Vice President of the Organizations Committee. Within my first semester as a Senator of ASGCC, I quickly found my passion towards the organization, and my devotion to serving as a voice for all students. I believe in the importance of student clubs in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels that their goals and identity are being properly represented. Serving this position would allow me the honor of directing students to a leadership position while easing the intimidating process of starting a club. Providing clubs with their necessary resources, facilitating IOC meetings, and reviewing funding requests are just a few of the responsibilities I will fulfill in order to ensure that all student organizations have an equal opportunity to thrive. With your support, I am eager to work towards an inclusive and welcoming campus community.

Merissa Shahbazian

The average student at GCC spends a significant amount of time on campus, making it crucial to embrace and support clubs as essential parts of college life. GCC has over 70 student clubs with their dreams and desires. As a first-generation German-born college student, I grew up in a community that demonstrated rich education but poor extracurricular involvement. I understand the importance of student-led clubs in fostering a vibrant campus community. I aim to help each and every club to reach their desired goal. I ensure that all clubs and individuals are able to express their identities, passions, and dreams. I’m honored to be a candidate for the vice president of organizations. As a current senator of organizations, I acquired invaluable skills needed for this position. With my experience, if you vote for me I promise to provide the 3 C’s: Collaborate! Cultivate! Clubs!
