President & Student Trustee
Matthew Bakalinsky
Greetings, my name is Matthew Bakalinsky. I am running for President/Student Trustee, bringing extensive experience in student leadership. I previously served as Associated Student President at LACC, and Vice Chair of Region 7 for the Student Senate for California Community Colleges (SSCCC). Beginning July1, I will serve as Regional Affairs Director for SSCCC Region 7, representing 14 colleges including Glendale Community College. As a GCC student I have advocated for greater accessibility and transparency by encouraging the ASGCC board to make meeting more open to students. As President/Student Trustee, I will continue this work by ensuring all students can vote in future ASGCC elections. In addition, I will collaborate with instructors to ensure students have resources to scholarship information and workplace development programs. I am also committed to strengthening and improving the presence of student clubs and supporting art -related departments to foster a more vibrant and inclusive campus community.

Your ideas deserve more than just being heard. They deserve to become reality. As a Relations Senator, I’ve worked directly with students, faculty, staff, and campus programs to help turn ideas into real events, initiatives, and resources for students at GCC. That experience has taught me how to represent your voice, advocate for your needs, and not only listen to concerns, but take action to create real impact in our community. That’s why I’m ready to serve as your ASGCC President to continue representing you and turning ideas into action on a larger scale. So if you’ve got an idea—vote Mia. M.I.A: Make Ideas Action.
Vice President of Activities
Daniela Elpatova
As a senator on the Activities Committee in ASGCC and Vice President of the Anthropology Club, I have experience planning and managing campus events. I understand the responsibilities and challenges that come with organizing college activities. My goal in running for Vice President of Activities is to make our event agenda engaging and inclusive for all students. It is my top priority to promote activities and strengthen communication among students, staff, clubs, and programs by fostering a welcoming and interactive environment outside of the classroom. I want to encourage GCC student groups to become more involved and present on campus by fostering openness within the community and serving as a resource that supports initiatives centered on activities students are genuinely interested in organizing and attending. To me, every student’s opinion matters, and I am committed to ensuring those voices are heard and advocated for in my role as an executive.

Over the year I'd be the Vice President of Activities for, I would like to host more philanthropic events, as well as fun and community building activities for clubs and the various communities present in this school. I would also love to host friendly, spirit building, competitions for clubs and communities, where the winners can earn prizes. I've been a part of the ASGCC activities committee before and have also continued to be engaged in the GCC community in other ways, such as being a club cabinet member.
Vice President of Administration
Monet Goode
To create real impact, we need a strong foundation. As a Senator of Administration, I’ve learned our system inside and out—working with our governing documents, organizing our agendas and meeting minutes, and carrying those ideals through campus events and statewide advocacy. A vote for me as Vice President of Administration is a vote to strengthen our internal systems and make them more transparent, efficient, and reliable. Because when the foundation is strong, ideas turn into real impact. Strong foundation. Strong advocacy. Strong impact.

Vice President of Finance
Lori Avetyan
I currently serve as a Senator in the Finance Committee, where I review budgets and accurately account for student and faculty’s financial needs. Through this role, I have developed a strong understanding of our financial processes and the importance of representation in our school. I am running for Vice President of the Finance Committee to take a more active role in serving not just our community’s financial needs, but to actively support our students and faculty in any way possible. My goal is to strengthen the relationship between ASGCC and GCC students and faculty, to ensure everyone in our community is accurately represented. With my experience and dedication, I am eager to help lead our wonderful committee effectively while serving the needs our community!
Vice President of Organizations
Natalia Andriassian
I am excited to be running for Vice President of the Organizations Committee because I’m passionate about supporting and strengthening our club community. During my semester as a senator, I’ve already made a meaningful impact by guiding new clubs through the startup process and sharing practical tips to help them host successful and engaging events. I also created a club collaboration form to connect clubs with similar goals, increasing participant turnout and expanding clubs horizons. As someone who runs my own club, I understand how challenging it can be to start and maintain one, which is why I’m especially motivated to help others succeed. I genuinely enjoy working with clubs and helping them grow. As Vice President of Orgs, I will focus on improving communication, increasing collaboration, and ensuring every club feels supported and empowered

I am running for Vice President of Organizations because I want to support and strengthen every club at GCC by listening to students and valuing their opinions. I believe clubs should have the financial and social support they need to grow and succeed. Every student deserves to feel like they belong on campus, and being part of a club is one of the best ways to find that sense of community. If elected, I want to help make GCC a campus with a wide variety of clubs where every student can find their smaller community. I believe all student-led organizations should be supported, whether they are academic, cultural, or interest-based. As VP of Organizations, I would work to ensure clubs have access to resources, funding, and opportunities to collaborate. I would advocate for student voices at IOC meetings and help remove barriers that keep clubs from thriving.
