ASGCC Acknowledges Native American Heritage Month

The Associated Students of Glendale Community College (ASGCC) recognizes, affirms, and celebrates Native American Heritage Month — a time to honor the histories, cultures, and lasting contributions of Native and Indigenous peoples across the United States.

We acknowledge that Glendale Community College stands on the ancestral lands of the Tongva people, who have lived and cared for this region for thousands of years. We honor their continued presence and stewardship, and we extend our respect to all Indigenous communities whose traditions and resilience continue to shape our collective history.

ASGCC invites our campus community to use this month as an opportunity to learn more about Native and Indigenous experiences, celebrate their diverse cultures, and reflect on the importance of listening to and uplifting Indigenous voices — not only in November, but throughout the year.
