Mission: The Social Sciences Society at Glendale Community College is a space for students to explore, discuss, and apply what we learn about human society in ways that matter. We stand for critical thinking, inclusivity, and civic engagement, and we believe the social sciences give us powerful tools to understand the world around us. Our goal is to connect classroom learning with real-world issues through guest speakers, student-led discussions, community service, and creative projects. We want to spark curiosity about society’s challenges and encourage solutions rooted in knowledge, empathy, and open dialogue. By welcoming diverse perspectives, we create a community where members can grow personally and academically. The club also helps prepare students for leadership and future careers by offering resources, skill-building activities, and networking opportunities. In the end, the Social Sciences Society is about building a community of learners who care about people, culture, and society, and who want to use what they learn to make a positive impact on campus and beyond.
