ASGCC Women’s History Month Statement
The Associated Students of Glendale Community College (ASGCC) recognizes Women’s History Month as an opportunity to acknowledge and honor the strength, achievements, and lasting contributions of women on our campus, throughout the United States, and worldwide. This month is a time to reflect on the resilience, history, and leadership of women who have shaped our communities across generations socially, politically, culturally, and technologically.
Women’s History Month is an opportunity to appreciate ongoing efforts towards equality and inclusion, while remembering the barriers and challenges that women have continuously confronted. Women have led remarkable change through innovation, advocacy, leadership, and education, contributing to advancing our society and building more just and inclusive environments.
At Glendale Community College, we recognize the impact of women within our campus community. In particular, the female senators, Vice Presidents, and advisors of ASGCC play an essential role in shaping student life and strengthening our college environment. Our campus has been enriched by the stories and experiences of female students, faculty, and staff. Their impact and contributions continue to inspire growth and influence for the future.
ASGCC invites our campus community to educate and celebrate women's experiences, highlighting their achievements and uplifting women's voices throughout the entire year. We encourage students, faculty, and staff to enrich themselves in efforts that empower women everywhere.
